Description
A complete stainless steel lunch kit for school in one order. The blue Core bento carries the sandwich, fruit and snacks, and the blue 800ml insulated food jar carries a warm meal, so primary kids with big appetites have everything they need from recess to the home bell.
What's in the set
- Core stainless steel bento lunch box in Blue: 1200ml, 22 × 15.5 × 6 cm, with a food-grade 304 (18/8) stainless steel base, a removable T-divider (3 compartments or 1 big space) and a clear BPA-free Tritan lid with four clips and a silicone seal.
- 800ml insulated food jar in Blue: double-wall insulated 304 stainless steel, fully leak proof, with a snack or sauce compartment under the lid. 135mm across and 135mm high.
Bundle price: $78.38 instead of $97.98 if you bought the Core ($47.99) and food jar ($49.99) separately. That's 20% off.
How to pack the kit for a school day
- Core, big section: a whole sandwich, wrap or roll
- Core, two small sections: fruit for Crunch and Sip, plus a snack for recess
- Food jar: pasta, fried rice, soup or nuggets for lunch, with crackers or sauce in the compartment under the lid
Pre-heat the jar with boiling water for 5 to 10 minutes before you add hot food, and it stays warm until lunch. Our guide to sending hot food to school explains how.
Why stainless steel?
Both pieces are made with food-grade 304 stainless steel, which doesn't absorb smells or stains and lasts for years of school days. Note the Core's lid is Tritan, a BPA-free material, not steel.
Not sure the 800ml jar is the right size? Compare in our food jar sizes guide. See the full range of stainless steel lunch boxes.
FAQs
What age suits this stainless steel lunch kit?
Primary school kids with a good appetite through to high school. Younger kids may find the 800ml jar's screw lid harder to open on their own.
Is the stainless steel lunch kit leak proof?
The food jar is fully leak proof. The Core's silicone-sealed lid keeps the whole box sealed, but its compartments aren't sealed from each other, so pack runny foods in the jar.
Is the kit dishwasher safe?
Yes. Both the Core and the food jar can go on the top or bottom rack.
Less chaos, more calm.
