Kids Library Bags

Library bags for kids that actually match the backpack. Every Spixal library bag comes in the same colourways as the Axis Kids Backpack, so library day, home readers and homework all have a proper home, and the whole school kit looks like it belongs together.

Shop a library bag on its own, or get one with a matching backpack and pencil case in an Axis Kids Backpack Bundle and save.

What makes a good school library bag?

• Fits A4 books and folders: Room for library books, readers, workbooks and display folders without bent corners.
• Velcro fold-over flap: Keeps books in, and is easy for little hands to open on their own.
• Water-resistant cotton twill: Sturdy fabric that protects borrowed books from drizzle and leaky drink bottles.
• Carry handle: Carry it on its own on library day, or slide it flat into the backpack.
• Colours that match: Pink, Purple, Leopard, Camo, Blue, Navy Orange, Black and Green, matched to the Axis range.

Library bag, book bag or home reader bag?

Different schools call it different things, but it's the same job: a flat, protective bag that gets books safely between home, the classroom and the school library. Younger kids use it as a home reader bag for nightly readers and reading logs. Older kids keep it inside the backpack as a book bag or homework bag for exercise books, textbooks and homework, so nothing gets crumpled at the bottom.

Library bag FAQs

What size is the library bag?
It fits A4 books and folders, the standard size for most school books and display folders.

Is it waterproof?
It's made from water-resistant cotton twill, so it handles drizzle and spills. It isn't fully waterproof, so don't leave it out in heavy rain.

Will it fit inside the backpack?
Yes. It lies flat, so it slides into the backpack with the rest of the day's gear.

Can it be used as a home reader bag?
Yes. It's the right size for home readers and reading logs, and the velcro flap keeps them together on the trip between home and the classroom.

Can it be used in high school?
Yes. The plain two-tone colourways don't look babyish, and high schoolers use it to keep textbooks and homework organised inside their bag.
