The contents depend on the set. Some pair an insulated tote or Commute Lunch Bag with bentos and snack storage. The School Day Complete Set instead contains a Roundie, an 800ml food jar, Mini Snack Boxes and a hat clip; it does not include a carry bag.

Accessories used in photographs may have their own listings. If you only need a new bento, you can buy it without replacing the bag. Compare the exact pieces in the set with the individual items you would otherwise buy. A saving is useful when those are the pieces you need; an extra bag that stays in the cupboard adds little value. Check the selected colour as well, because the photos and included pieces belong to that particular listing.

The same container can suit school and work if the capacity and food layout suit the person using it. An adult packing a sandwich and fruit may need less room than a teenager taking lunch and an after-school snack. Check reheating access before choosing a steel or silicone box. For a shared household set, separate colours or labels can keep packed lunches and lids from being mixed up in the fridge.

The Prep System. The Commute Lunch Bag version includes two 1200ml bentos, and the Lunch Tote Bag version includes two 900ml Round Bentos, so you can pack two lunches in one go.

Choose the main container around the meal you regularly cook in batches. Rice with two sides suits separated sections; a single pasta dish may suit an open bowl. Count how many containers you want in rotation between the fridge, work and the wash. A bundle with several pieces can help, but check their individual capacities and heating instructions. Meal prep is easier when the same portion fits without repacking it in the morning.

Check the containers in the selected set. The 3- and 5-compartment silicone bentos seal each section, while the Round silicone bento and Mini boxes have their own leakproof seals. The Roundie in a School Day Complete Set has removable sections that do not seal individually.

There are two separate questions here: can food escape into the bag, and can it move between compartments? A seal around the outside deals with the first; individual section seals deal with the second. Keep food clear of the sealing edges and close the lid fully. If a meal combines crackers with a runny dip, choose individually sealed sections or put the dip in its own closed container.
