Two sisters.
Four kids.
One less thing
to juggle.

We’re Deanna and Maggie, the mums behind Spixal. We make school-day gear that works together, so getting out the door feels a little easier.

Here’s how it started

School bags run
in the family.

Our parents sold school bags and backpacks for more than 35 years. We grew up around the family business, then took it on ourselves. Back to school has been part of our lives for as long as we can remember.

But even with all that experience, we couldn’t find what we wanted for our own kids: practical, modern gear made for more than a single school year.

Then we were
the school mums.

When Maggie’s daughter started reception, it all became personal. The school lists. The lunch she’d actually eat. The hat we had to remember. And everyone needing to be out the door, all at once.

We weren’t the only ones piecing together gear that didn’t quite work together. So we put our design backgrounds to work.

We made the gear
we wanted for our kids.

Backpacks, bentos, bottles and lunch gear designed to work together. Practical pieces. Prints they love. One less daily puzzle for you.

That’s Spixal.
