Reusable food pouches that replace single-use squeeze packs and plastic zip lock bags. Fill our refillable silicone pouches with yoghurt, purée or smoothies for babies, toddlers and school kids, and use our reusable silicone zip lock bags for sandwiches, fruit and snacks. Every pouch is BPA free, dishwasher safe and made to be refilled again and again.
Which reusable food pouch do you need?
- Refillable squeeze pouches (160ml, 10 x 17cm): for yoghurt, custard, smoothies and fruit purée. A wide screw-top opening makes them quick to fill, and a double zip closure on the mouthpiece keeps them shut in the lunch bag. Choose a 5 Pack in assorted colours for the school week, or a 2 Pack in one colour to top up.
- Reusable sandwich and snack bags (5 Pack): silicone bags that zip airtight and fit a full sandwich, one colour for every school day.
- Reusable zip lock bags (2 Pack): food-grade silicone zip lock bags for snacks, fruit or a sandwich, in five colours to match the rest of your Spixal kit.
Reusable baby food pouches and toddler snacks
Our squeeze pouches are sized for little hands and need no spoon or bowl, which makes them handy for purée, yoghurt and smoothies at daycare, in the pram or on a road trip. Fill, leave a little room at the top, and freeze ahead if you like. For ideas, see our guide to the best reusable food pouches for toddlers, or shop all toddler lunch boxes.
Why switch to reusable food pouches?
- Less waste: no more weekly boxes of disposable pouches or zip lock bags, and nude food days are easy.
- Less spending: buy once and refill from a tub of yoghurt instead of paying for single serves.
- Easy to clean: dishwasher safe, and every yoghurt pouch pack includes a cleaning brush for the spout and seams.
- Food safe: BPA-free silicone, as part of our Food Safe Promise.

Reusable Food Pouches FAQs
How do you clean reusable food pouches?
Put them in the dishwasher, or wash by hand in warm soapy water using the cleaning brush included with every yoghurt pouch pack. Leave them open to dry completely before storing.
Empty any leftovers when the pouch comes home, then rinse before food dries around the opening. Use the included brush to reach the spout and corners, and wash the closure as well as the pouch body. Leave all washed parts open to dry before putting them away. A second pouch is handy when one is still drying, so you do not have to refill damp storage straight from the rack.
Are reusable food pouches safe for babies and toddlers?
Our pouches are made from BPA-free, food-grade silicone and are sized for little hands. Always supervise young children while they eat.
Check that your child can manage the pouch and its closure, and keep small detachable parts under adult control. Prepare food in a texture appropriate for the child and supervise eating. A reusable pouch is a container, not a way to make every food suitable for every age. Ask the daycare room how it prefers food labelled and stored, and practise with a small amount at home before sending a full pouch.
What can I put in a reusable food pouch?
Yoghurt, custard, smoothies, fruit and veggie purée, chia pudding and overnight oats all work well in the squeeze pouches. Use the zip lock bags for sandwiches, fruit and dry snacks.
Choose a smooth consistency that can pass through the opening comfortably. Blend or mash lumps before filling, and leave enough space to close the pouch cleanly. Wipe food from the closure and check it is fully secured. If your child is new to squeeze pouches, try one at home first so they learn how much pressure to use. Pack the food at an appropriate temperature and keep chilled foods properly cooled.
Can you freeze reusable food pouches?
Yes. The reusable pouches are freezer friendly. Leave space for expansion and plan thawing around the food you pack and the time it will be eaten.
Leave room for expansion and freeze the pouch in a position that protects its closure. Label prepared food so you know what it contains and when it was packed. Thawing time varies with the food, freezer and weather, so a frozen pouch is not guaranteed to be ready at a particular lunch break. Follow the food's storage guidance and use proper cooling for the rest of the lunch rather than treating one pouch as an ice-pack replacement.
How much does a reusable food pouch hold?
Each squeeze pouch holds 160ml and measures 10 x 17cm.
The stated capacity is the maximum volume, not a serving recommendation for every child. Fill it with the amount your child usually eats and leave space to secure the closure. A smaller fill can be useful while they learn how to squeeze it. Check the filled pouch fits in the lunch bag without being tightly compressed by a rigid container, and label it if several similar pouches are going to the same classroom.
