Every pouch holds 160ml and measures 10cm x 17cm, the same whether you buy the 2 Pack or the 5 Pack. That fits a standard serve of yoghurt, custard or fruit purée.

The stated capacity is the maximum volume, not a serving recommendation for every child. Fill it with the amount your child usually eats and leave space to secure the closure. A smaller fill can be useful while they learn how to squeeze it. Check the filled pouch fits in the lunch bag without being tightly compressed by a rigid container, and label it if several similar pouches are going to the same classroom.

The 2 Pack comes in one colour (blue, red, orange, green or purple) and suits topping up a set or keeping a spare. The 5 Pack comes in assorted colours, so every pouch can have its own job across the school week.

Choose the pack size around how often you fill and wash them. A couple can cover one in use and one drying; a larger pack can be useful for siblings or preparing several portions. Yes. Every Spixal pouch is dishwasher safe, and every pack includes a cleaning brush for the spout and seams if you prefer to hand wash.

Empty any leftovers when the pouch comes home, then rinse before food dries around the opening. Use the included brush to reach the spout and corners, and wash the closure as well as the pouch body. Leave all washed parts open to dry before putting them away. A second pouch is handy when one is still drying, so you do not have to refill damp storage straight from the rack.

BPA-free describes a material claim; it does not mean every item can be heated or washed in the same way. Use the care instructions for the exact container, including its lid, seals and removable parts. Before packing lunch, check that the closure is clean and the container is in sound condition. Choose the material around the job it needs to do, particularly if you want to reheat food at work.

A double zip closure on the mouthpiece seals the pouch shut. Single-zip and fold-over seals are where most pouches let go.

Keep food out of the closure when filling and check it is fully secured before placing the pouch in a bag. Look at the closure after washing as well, since residue can collect where the parts meet. Do not overfill or wedge the pouch under a heavy lunch box. If a closure is damaged or no longer closes normally, stop using that pouch for wet food and contact the store for guidance.

Wipe food from the closure and check it is fully secured. If your child is new to squeeze pouches, try one at home first so they learn how much pressure to use. Pack the food at an appropriate temperature and keep chilled foods properly cooled.

Yes. Spixal reusable yoghurt pouches are freezer safe. Leave a little room for expansion and follow the storage and thawing guidance for the food you put inside.

Leave room for expansion and freeze the pouch in a position that protects its closure. Label prepared food so you know what it contains and when it was packed. Thawing time varies with the food, freezer and weather, so a frozen pouch is not guaranteed to be ready at a particular lunch break. Follow the food's storage guidance and use proper cooling for the rest of the lunch rather than treating one pouch as an ice-pack replacement.

Yes. They're sized for little hands and need no spoon or bowl, which makes them handy for yoghurt and purée at daycare, kindy or in the pram. Always supervise young children while they eat.

Check that your child can manage the pouch and its closure, and keep small detachable parts under adult control. Prepare food in a texture appropriate for the child and supervise eating. A reusable pouch is a container, not a way to make every food suitable for every age.
